Yoda and the Force

I think that all of us are searching for that magic moment…when click…everything makes sense and “falls into place”. The Promised land of it will be better when…Better than what ?

Better than right now where I’m trying my damnedest to avoid perceived pain. Unfortunately it’s creating a disturbance in my Universe. The DARK side is clouding my judgement.

So let’s let Yoda – Great Jedi Master guide me back to the force.

1. YOU MUST FEEL THE FORCE AROUND YOU

It dawned on me the other day that yes I am at that magical promised land. All of the things that I have asked for, have been given to me. Maybe not in the way I think it should be happening, but it’s there none the less. I stepped away from a life that was not giving me what I wanted. I wasn’t giving myself what I wanted – I was settling for secure, comfortable, and a life on a moisture farm on Tatooine.

Now I’m out there in the uncertainty of the Universe ….. dealing with thousands of what if?

If you don’t want the what if’s then head right back to the certainty and security of that moisture farm on Tatooine.

 

2. NAME MUST YOUR FEAR BEFORE BANISH IT YOU CAN

One of the biggest things that holds me back is my own limiting beliefs. Fear. Fear of failure, fear of not being enough, and fear of not being worthy to receive. I had to confront these , and still have to sometimes on a daily basis, before I could start to shine some light on my fears. The fears haven’t disappeared, but they don’t slow me down as much as they used to towards my action steps. So Here we go lets name those deep rooted fears …. drum roll ………

I’m not worthy

I’m not loveable

I’m scared shitless that I’ll fail

My self worth is dependent on success or failure

 

3. SIZE MATTERS NOT

The action steps do not have to be Earth Shattering, turn your world upside down. For me, I fall into this limiting pattern where by change has to be something that I can see and measure on a daily basis. What I fail to realize is that it’s all the little action steps that create the space for the Blow Up the Deathstar type of change that I am waiting for.

It’s all the little steps that create that size of the fight in the dog.

 

4. YOU MUST UNLEARN WHAT YOU HAVE LEARNED

Takes me back to #2 – those fears aka Limiting beliefs are not real . I am worthy, I am enough, and most important what the heck is failure anyways? And by whose standards ….. it blows me away sometimes, when I stop and question what I hold to be near and dear to me , how much BS I actually tell myself. I am not a failure because things are not happening as fast as I would like. It would only be failure if I wasn’t taking the small action steps to actually make things happen.

 

5. DO OR DO NOT. THERE IS NO TRY.

It’s a pretty simple concept. Darren do not try to do your best – Do your Best.

Lately I have not been doing my best.

No denial here – I have been letting my fears – aka the Dark side cloud my judgement – it’ s left me holding back from life. Time to do my best.

 

6. MIND WHAT YOU HAVE LEARNED
