ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE…
Hi, this is Darren from OLD DAWG and one of the first things I want to do is thank you for checking us out. Second, let’s get straight to the point can you teach an old dog a new trick?
Whether, you think that you can or you can’t you are right. There is no right or wrong answer but only the power that we give to the CAN or the CAN’T. That power rests with you!
The biggest obstacle I faced was nothing out there in the big bad scary world. It was me. The Dude who believed that bread crumbs are good enough.
OLD DAWG is the belief that anything is possible – take it from an addict who has recovered, and is still trucking on the road of recovery. It wasn’t happy ever after and I was so naive to think so.
Even after lining up for 5 Ironman races, I can still at times wrestle with that voice that tells me to stay in the safe and secure. Funny how for the last seven years, the safe and secure was defined by my weekly training millage.
A successful Ironman race (3.8km swim / 180km bike / 42.2 km run) involves a lot of planning, training, execution of a race strategy, and let’s not forget the will to not quit. It’s the consistent ticking of the daily training boxes, that ensures success.
I mention this, not as some form of a back door brag, but to illustrate the importance of specificity. We get what we train for: stay in the safe and secure or, find out what’s outside our comfort zone. I guess in some way is to also borrow some of that “anything is possible“ mentality.
The belief that anything is possible
IT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE HELPLESS AND HOPELESS. THERE IS A SOLUTION THAT WORKS. MY RECOVERY STORY.
